Seeing as the holiday upon us is reserved for families and gatherings, this weekend in Hotel Kaštel we have prepared “Traditional Easter with Hotel Kaštel”, a special event for all those who love to enjoy Easter festivities.
On Saturday, in our Culture and Education center Kaštel, we’ll have a unique event which includes egg painting as it was done by our forefathers and a demonstration of making true Istrian pinca, a tasty bite which is an unavoidable part of every Easter table in Istria, and which you will also be able to taste for yourself. On the Sunday morning, we will also host a competition in a traditional children’s game called “egg piercing” – tossing of coins in order to pierce the boiled egg.
Apart from that, you can also expect a guided tour of “Motovun – history in motion”, an exhibition which includes demonstrational work of old water mill, various games and activities, and which is also an inexhaustible source of details and interesting facts about the rich history and culture of Motovun and the surrounding area.
