From the base of the Motovun hill leads a winding but comfortable road uphill to the old part of the town. The final section, through the medieval town streets, from the lower town gates to highest town square, must be traversed by foot, but it's well worth the effort: on one of the most beautiful Mediterranean squares, surrounded by old buildings and palaces, on the left side of the square, is located the Hotel Kaštel.

Informations about traffic regulations in Motovun
Hotel Kaštel is situated on the top of the medieval small town Motovun which is protected as a cultural monument by UNESCO. Therefore cars are not allowed all the way up to the old town center where the hotel is situated.
Parking is about 250 meters far from the hotel, it belongs to Motovun's community, and costs 15 kn / cca 2 € daily. It is not guarded.
