| On the highest Motovun square, surrounded by medieval walls and preserved
structures of the Venetian era, one comes to the ancient
town gates and the structure of the Hotel Kaštel, located
in a palace from the 17th century, on the right side
of the square. |

The hotel structure which is one
of the tallest buildings on the town square is an
identifiable part of the overall vista of the ancient
town. Every stone here tells a story that is at least
700 years old.
